I've always harboured a serious love for sequins but this time I decided to tone it down with a subtle sequinned neckline- after all, the bright coral of the top should speak for itself. I also wanted to wear a high-waisted skirt but sadly I'm much more of a shorts person, so I thought why not pull out something from my "for sale" box? Since no one had wanted to buy it I decided to remove the tags and just keep it for myself, haha. My loss has become my gain again...which is kind of silly. They're still shorts but the loose fit is exactly what I had envisioned.
Sequin top: Taobao
Bow-tied shorts: Gmarket
Heels: Wholesale7.net
Matte black cuff: Colette Accessories
I have to say I absolutely loved wearing this outfit- the materials of both the top and shorts are very similar, very soft, loose and flowy, and almost silky. It's a dream wearing something pretty yet something so comfortable against your skin. You just want to touch yourself all day!

My new circle lenses are actually pretty intimidating up close, sorry for the bug-eyedness. They look a lot better from far away!
hope everyone is safe and well! xx I've got my Legal Profession (summer school) exam in two days so that's why I haven't been so active lately- but after that, freedom! But only for one month, before uni starts again. *short-lived victory dance*

lovely outfit! you really suit the coral colour and the circle lenses are adorable

hi izzy i have a question kind of random ><
ReplyDeletedid you always walk to usyd from redfern and was it always safe?
also what do you think of the learning environment? i heard that the tutors dont care one bt about making you go forward in life and provide you no skills that you can use in rl. thats what i heard!
hi! Yes I walk to uni almost always and they've all been safe occasions. I think it would only get more dangerous if it was late at night and there aren't that many people around- in that case you might want to take the night bus. Otherwise there's usually plenty of people around on the same path to and from the station.
Deletehaha I haven't heard that. Maybe it's the case for certain courses. The tutors in my experience will be pretty helpful if you go up to them during break time or arrange meetings with them. When they're teaching they're just like lecturers. I'm not sure what you mean by "real life" skills? They're just there to teach the course content. If you mean job-searching skills and stuff like that, there's plenty of seminars every now and then on campus. You usually find notifications in your uni email :)
Thank you for your reply ^^. By 'real life skills' I meant like they don't teach you very practical things.. it's all theory? Unlike UTS which gives you experience or.. something haha. So it's all just knowledge and not really helping you apply like teaching you excel for instance.
DeleteOne more question.. do you like usyd? would you have prefered to go to another uni? i heard theres not many asians at usyd at all LOLL
no problem! oh ok I guess it depends on what course you're doing then? eg if you do something related to computers then they would be teaching you practical skills on using certain programs. The closest kind of practical skills I've been taught at uni in my experience- is learning how to use research databases to look up legislation, case law, journals etc which is a common thing you'd have to do working in a law firm (in a subject called Legal Research) and learning really basic html in a subject called Business information systems (or something like that). The nature of some courses and subjects just require practical skills like that. Other theory-based subjects don't.
DeleteYeah I like Usyd. A friend of mine who's attended both prefers UNSW because apparently the social life is greater there. Once again it depends on the course- if it's commerce-related do expect a lot of Asians lol.
Very cute outfit, love the soft flowy fabrics and that beautiful coral color! The bow tie shorts look very good on you, I'm glad you decided to keep it, it's a great piece!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so stunning! What kind of lenses are they exactly? I love these shorts on you! They are so flattering!
ReplyDeleteSee Me Rwar
thanks, credits go to my boyfriend for the photography! he uses a Canon 70-200 2.8 :) thankyou!
DeleteI have a love for sequins too but for some reason I think it's only for new years or celebrations but then again the since it's only the neck line of your top it's just right for an everyday outfit. I'm loving the coral colour and how they match the shoes just right as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a wonder to see your pictures, you always look lovely and your photographer has some amazing skill because you're always the perfect focus of the photos you post.
