I'm loving these white-rimmed sunglasses by SXUC from Sunglasses Shop! The white makes them the staple sun-shielder for summer. They also kind of match the chain and cone of my icecream necklace, which of course is another totally crucial element of summer, unless you are lactose-intolerant in which case I offer my deepest condolences. These sunnies by SXUC are a cheapie (30AUD) but they're such great quality for what they're worth. Sunglasses Shop also stocks other iconic, more high-end brands such as Ray-Ban, House of Harlow, Chloe and Chanel. My top picks for summer are here, here and here!
Chicwish always has the cutest stuff- I'm loving this mint backpack and crochet shorts! Shipping is free worldwide, which is great to hear as their prices are so reasonable. (PS: just checked the backpack link- only 1 item left! quick!) Backpacks no longer have that childish, nerdy stigma reminiscent of our dorky high school days. I'm so glad because they really help ease off the burden on your shoulder when you have a lot of stuff in them, especially if you are two-strapping it (which by the way is now cooler than one-strapping it, if you've seen 21 Jump Street).
Since I haven't planned to travel anywhere these holidays (lack of funds, but that will change as soon as I start working! :)) I need some new TV shows to watch. I have been waiting forever for the new season of Sherlock (BBC). If any of you guys have seen it, I'd love to discuss with you theories about the cliffhanger ending of Season 2! My favourite genres are sci-fi, mystery and paranormal. Do you guys have any of your favourite tv shows to recommend? :)

Izzi!! The location of all your photo shoots always looks so pretty! It seriously makes me feel like I'm missing out a great deal of Sydney! The color of those shorts is so pretty!! I love crochet lace shorts. They are so feminine. :) And that backpack is super cute! I've been looking for one in the thrift shops around here but I haven't found one yet. I think if we lived in the same area, we would be such good friends! We seem to have a lot in common. I love sci-fi, paranormal shows. One of the best shows I have all the DVD's of is Fringe. I think you would really like that show. I don't know if you get the Sci-Fy network there, but one of my favorite scary shows is Paranormal Witness. It's super creepy and a new season is going to begin in January. :) <3

I think there's something really beautiful about the contrast of red/pinks to the green palette, you've pulled it off gorgeously here! I especially love how you played with the print and crochet texture, I guess its the floral-like patterns in both create a really smooth fluidity :) Wow those glasses were a steal, sunnies are such expensive investments. And even when you invest in a pair, there are so many waiting for homes as well hahaha. I haven't seen a mint coloured backpack before, you've almost converted me if only it was a tote ono it matches your shorts perfectly! I would recommend... (for mystery) 'Twin Peaks' and 'Dexter'. This outfit is gorgeous! The bright florals suit the Summer weather perfectly and I love your shorts! Lace/crochet patterns are one of my favourite things and so is the colour mint, so these shorts are definitely my fave item of your outfit! And yes, they also match your mint backpack which is super cute might I add.
ReplyDeleteAs for a tv show recommendation, you should check out The Vampire Diaries. I know it sounds pretty lame to a lot of people, but it's actually an amazing show! It will make you both laugh and cry, is filled with both action and romance, and also belongs in the supernatural genre - so it kind of has a bit of everything! You just have to make sure you watch every episode from the beginning and you'll love it! My friends and I have recommended this show to a heap of people, and we've yet to find one who has disliked/stopped watching this show.

lovely outfit. i am so jealous of how little clothing you have to wear cos right now in berlin it is winter and i have to bundle up so much. i much prefer summer clothes and being able to wear less. and hmm tv shows to recommend: i would say if you like girly stuff, gossip girl or pretty little liars. they are sort of my two guilty pleasures and are perfect to watch while taking a bubble bath or painting your nails. but for dramas which i actually enjoy a ton, i would say dexter or american horror story, although american horror story is really scary!

The backpack definitely steals the show. I'm in love with that pastel colour! So pretty! And you're right, backpacks are making a comeback. I used to hate them but my shoulders just cannot handle carrying all my textbooks and laptop with a shoulder bag. Just got a backpack this year, black faux leather so I'm loving it!

thanks Kirsten! haha I was really shocked about the ending too but since I had so many months to re-watch it, I picked up on all these little clues and have formed a little theory myself! double-checked with the internet and a lot of people have the same idea! haha lol I'm such a nerd. so now I'm not even super duper excited about the next season as I feel like my theory is rock solid and I already know what's going to happen.

Love how feminine and playful this look is, it's casual but girly and fun! I know what you mean about backpacks coming back into style - they used to be so nerdy and reminiscent of high school and the huge backpacks we'd have to carry each day holding our chunky, back-breaking textbooks, but now they're all the rage :p I don't watch any sci-fi or paranormal shows! Walking Dead I heard was good? I'm currently digging Homeland, Glee, Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, Real Housewives of Miami and Nashville (yes, I am a TV junkie). And anything Boston Legal - it's probably the only show I'd enjoy watching re-runs of.

Yes, you really do have the coolest collection of shorts ever. And OMG, the backpack is fab, I just got a backpack myself to spoil my poor back a bit. I love Sherlock, but the TV here is really slow - I think they haven't even aired the second season yet. I don't have any time to watch TV or shows online these days, but I quite liked Grimm - it's mystery and paranormal, but I guess it's so famous you've already seen it. I'm also a total fan of Stargate and Stargate Atlantis, I think it's better than other similar space/science/explore other planets/fight evil creatures series. And Liar Game - it's Japanese, mystery/thriller. It's really cool, even though as the plot progresses, it becomes a bit overdone, in my opinion.
