Looking back at the previous outfit post, this kind of seems like the more mature version of incorporating spring-like pastels and florals. (It's amazing how a simple straw hat can instantly create a renewed sense of innocence and childishness!) Replace a tee with a chiffon blouse, and opt for a single-coloured bodycon wrap skirt over a flared one. I couldn't however resist slipping on these chunky bright floral wedges, to add back a bit of fun and youthfulness into the equation.

Thank you all my dear readers (both old and new!) for entering my giveaway in my previous post. I'm highly impressed that everyone's read and has been following the rules. Good luck to all of you! :)
I'm so excited to announce my blog's very first giveaway!! I started blogging in June last year, and it amazes me how much love and support I've received from so many lovely readers all over the globe since. I've enjoyed so much checking out everyone's blogs and discovering endless amounts of fashion inspiration as a result. So as a token of my appreciation, I'm commemorating the 400 followers milestone by allowing ONE lucky winner to receive:
this brand new Forever New boxy bag with a beauty + jewellery goodies pack inside!
Like a lot of girls, I absolutely adore florals in every colour scheme and flower variety, and if we laid out all our floral-patterned clothing items on the floor we'd create a pretty extravagant and psychadelic-looking garden bed indeed. However by itself, a floral pattern has the potential to look a little bland. This layered skirt from Bardot was exactly what I was looking for- it takes a beautiful bouquet of pastel floral shades, and instantly adds an extra dimension and flair with the three-tiered design, almost resembling a cake!
To accompany the structured skirt I thought it would be fun to also add this boxy bag from Forever New! If you like it, I'm doing a giveaway of this exact bag, including a goodies pack inside :) Still sorting out the bits and bobs right now but hooopefully the giveaway will be up soon! So watch this space :)

Sorry if I've also been a bit late in getting to some people's replies! Been pretty busy lately but I sure will get to all your lovely blogs soon enough. As well as post up the giveaway. Lol *tired panda eyes*
I was absolutely thrilled to hear that not only did Birkenhead Point have a Forever New outlet (one of my all-time favourite Aussie chain stores ever), but the shopping centre also stocked some pretty good, freshly-made gozleme (which is only like my favourite Turkish dish) in their food court.
Needless to say, I almost fainted with happiness and excitement that day (which did almost happen in Shanghai actually, whilst roaming all the cheap markets) and we spent nearly six hours there. I know this because we had to move the car after three hours as the parking is free under three hours, and what seemed like only minutes later we checked the time to find that another three hours was almost up. I was able to shop at Forever New and dump the bags in the car, and then come back to FN for a second round of shopping. It's so funny coming out of the store seeing all these blank-faced males slumped on the benches outside, hunched over their phones either scrolling through Facebook mindlessly or playing mundane games as they wait for their girlfriends!
Two Forever New clutches
They are so gorgeous in real life, but my only gripe is that they are so small and not really practical! I used the purple one the other night and could only stuff my phone, a few cards, some squished up tissues and lipstick. But at least they look good...right?
The other day I received a super lovely gift from Sugar Lips Apparel, and opened the box to discover what was a stunningly vivid diffusion of gorgeous colours, fluidly blended into each other like the way tie dyes do. It was even better when I wore it- such a beautiful mix of purple, white, blue and subtle hints of yellow cascading down in a flutter of accordion pleats! The high-low cut of the dress was also just perfect for me as well, as I've accumulated too many dresses with floor-sweeping hems in my closet, and this was a fantastic way to enjoy varying lengths with the asymmetric cut.
We went to Birkenhead Point that day to shoot, and one of the biggest highlights was when a little blonde girl came up to me when we were waiting at the lifts, and said "I like your dwess. Your dwess is purple and bwue. Purple and bwue are my favouwite colours." It was so ridiculously CUTE! I seriously have an undying love for little kids (worked at a children's store and contemplated a career in primary school teaching!) and this little encounter was a perfect example of why. I honestly felt so tempted to email Sugar Lips Apparel and ask them to do a custom-made dress in Junior size just so this little angel could have the same dress. I was beaming my face off for the next few hours after that and the awesome bargains I picked up on my shopping spree did nothing to ease my aching cheekbones. Posting pics and details about that day's fiscal damage in a blog post soon.
