Tartan Again

Cut out top: c/o Motel Rocks (link here)
Tartan skirt: c/o Lovely Sally (link here)
'Clayton' platform booties: Jeffrey Campbell (bought from Nasty Gal)

Yes, tartan (or plaid) is everywhere and you are probably sick to death of it already! It is however one of the most fun prints to wear because of how many ways you can style it. A tartan jacket is great for the office and a long thick tartan coat is perfect for winter. A skater tartan skirt gives a really cute preppy 90's look, and a tight tartan skirt like this one from Lovely Sally can be perfect for a sexy and edgy outfit! The floral print on the side just adds that extra feminine touch.

Luckily for those on the opposite side of the world where it's actually fall, going into winter- Lovely Sally makes a leggings version of this great tartan printed skirt, which is here. Both pieces are super versatile and on trend right now!

I matched the squared pattern on the tartan skirt with this square cut-out crop top from Motel Rocks. The design is so unique and caught my eye immediately! Not only are there cutouts across the shoulders but also down the sleeves.

And I'm finishing off the outfit with my new killer Clayton platform booties from Jeffrey Campbell! Can you believe that they are actually comfortable! Despite the whoppingly high heel, the shoes feel surprisingly sturdy and doesn't give you the feeling of toppling over. They add so much edge (and yes plenty of height too) to any outfit!

Linda is possibly one of the sweetest and most diligent bloggers I have come across in my blogging life! She's always so up to date with her blogger feed and will regularly leave a lovely comment. I love her range of style as she rocks edgy and bohemian and flowy looks so equally well.

Check out Linda on her blog The Dragonfruit Diaries, and her Facebook, Lookbook, and Twitter :)

This is the second time I have done a Reader Feature section! If you would also like to be featured do let me know! :)

Also my previous post (Making Work Outfits Fashionable) was featured on the Links Roundup for Independent Fashion Bloggers again! Here are the rest of the wonderful blogs that were selected too:

Truly Gifted

It's somehow sad that Thanksgiving always gets the shaft for the holidays. Not as much fun as Halloween, not as much religious/global/ gifting/commercial opportunity as Christmas/Hanukkah/etc... But alas, we're all caught up in the holidays in the blogosphere. Between the gifts, the celebrations, the reflection of the year that's about to end, there's so much ground to cover! This week, we have a delightful round of holiday inspired posts to get you thinking about the rest of the year. Believe it or not... we don't have that much time left.
