Dreamers in Lace

Lace kimono: c/o Lookbookstore (currently sold out :( here, more kimonos avail. here)
Romper: c/o Pop Cherry Fashion
Floral wreath: Urban Outfitters
Heels: Go Jane

Photography credits: Evoque Photography

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. To be honest I generally don't have a good time during the Christmas break. I wish work would allow me to go back to the office throughout the whole period so I could distract myself haha. This Christmas I actually became so miserable and self-loathing in a way I haven't felt in years. Next year I have to booking a trip somewhere exciting and distracting even if it's by myself lol.

Anyways hope you guys like this outfit! I haven't worn a floral head wreath in ages as they slipped out of style, which is such a shame as they are so pretty! Which girl doesn't love to wear flowers on her head as a crown haha. Lookbookstore also gifted me a lovely cream lace kimono to add to my growing collection of flowy outerwear pieces. It's great to throw on anything tight-fitted or revealing to tone down the outfit a bit more.

Moto Christmas

Burgundy bag: c/o Oasap (here)
white knit crop top: c/o Oasap (here)
Wine red jeans: Gmarket
Jacket: Forever 21
Platform Boots:

How close is Christmas now? I personally don't celebrate it but it's so hard to avoid it lol. To be honest Christmas has become more of a celebration of commercialism and all about the sales and shopping, but I hope you guys still have an enjoyable Christmas break with loved ones :)

Staying true to the festive season I've worn berry or wine red for this outfit post! My style is generally pretty girly but I thought I'd incorporate deep red into more of a moto or edgy outfit. This ribbed knit crop top from Oasap is such a versatile, basic piece and it comes in yellow, pink and black too. I layered with a denim crop jacket from Forever 21 and pops of burgundy with high-waisted jeans and a barrel tote bag also from Oasap for a look that's a bit outside my comfort zone! :)

Pretty Shady Campaign

Hi everyone! Summer's already here for us Aussies, which means long days and lots and lots of nice warm sun! :) Unfortunately did you also know that Australia has the highest skin cancer rate in the world, and that it is actually the most common cancer affecting young Australians?

So, I've partnered up with Pretty Shady to show you guys my favourite looks for summer, that are on trend but more importantly sun-safe. Each look focuses on one of the five key ways about sun protection!

Watercolour Bloom

Top: c/o River Island (here)
Neoprene trumpet skirt: c/o Vain Glorious You (here)
Blue heels: c/o River Island (here)
Glitter box clutch: Forever New
Necklace: Colette Accessories
Here is my second post in collaboration between River Island and Shopping Links! The last post featured a holiday or party look using neutrals and different textures. This look features one of my all time favourite colour combos- blue and white :) You can never go wrong with it, it's always a classy and polished colour scheme!
I can see this River Island silk watercolour floral top getting so much wear this summer. I always get really excited when I add another piece I can take to my weekend as well as work wardrobe- isn't it great knowing you can wear something any time of the week, not just Saturday and Sunday? :) I'm actually also cheating a little with this top- I've folded it up and tucked it in at the back so it looks more cropped than it is. It's in fact more of a longer cami, but that's the beauty of playing with lengths :)

I hope everyone is having a safe week so far. Most people would be well aware that Sydney got rocked with a terrible siege that started yesterday morning. It was in one of my favourite chocolate cafes and it was next to my work, so during that time our building was in lockdown for a few hours. Events like these really make you appreciate what a blessing it is to be alive, and safe.

Neutral Glam

Classic Bristol Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington (here)
Sequin cami top: c/o River Island (currently sold out here, similar here)
Faux leather skirt: c/o River Island (here)
Metallic clutch bag: c/o River Island (here)

So party season is coming up with Christmas and New Year's, and River Island are helping you get your festive wardrobe ready! This is the first post is a collaboration with both River Island and Shopping Links, to bring you some party outfit inspirations! This post features neutral tones, which can have a risk of washing out the complexion and looking overall bland. But the trick is to play with textures and prints! This beaded cami top by River Island is perfectly sparkly and classy for a champagne-filled night, and I paired it with this faux croc print skirt also from River Island for an edgy contrast.

Christmas is also approaching fast, so don't forgot my exclusive discount code at Daniel Wellington for 15% discount on all DW products! You can use the code "holidaymetallicpaws". I'm wearing the Classic Bristol watch again in this post, which has a chocolate brown leather strap and a beautiful classy rose gold face. Remember that Daniel Wellington offer free worldwide shipping, and gift wrapping when purchasing an extra strap. Tip: if you order before Dec 19th, you can get it in time for Christmas ;)

Change Often

Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington (here)
Fringe bag: c/o Lookbookstore (here)

'To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often'- Winston Churchill

Sooo as some of you guys who follow me on Instagram might know, I just started a new role and it is taking a bit of a toll on me. Thanks for all the congratulatory messages as well :) It's challenging, overwhelming, non-stop and fast-paced - to the point where I think it's affecting my appetite and I can go from having a meal at 10am to breakfast at 7am the next morning without eating in between. And there are lots of coffee cups involved. I don't even have time to put them in the bin lol. But above all, the most important thing is that I'm getting pushed out of my comfort zone and to me the greater the challenge, the more you learn and the more it shapes your character. I look forward to continuing to become a stronger, wiser person because let's face it- you don't become tough without any form of struggle.

I had to take these photos just outside my house again, because the weather has been so erratic over here lol! It's blistering hot throughout the day and then storm follows afterwards...not the most optimal settings to go far and take photos!

Once again I'm wearing another watch gifted by Daniel Wellington, called the Classic Glasgow with a rose gold face. I usually prefer the Daniel Wellingtons with a classy leather strap, but I wanted to try something different with elegant navy blue and white stripes for a preppy look! You can use my exclusive Holiday promotion code "holidaymetallicpaws" to get 15% off on all DW products from their website They have free worldwide shipping! And you can also get gift wrapping when purchasing an extra strap- just in time for Christmas gifting :)

Lioness also kindly gifted me this ultra cute blue lace playsuit. I'm such an easy person to please- if it's got floral print and lace, I'm sold haha. I wore it with a floppy hat and boots for some fall inspiration for the people over in the Northern Hemisphere, but the material is so breezy and comfy so you can definitely take it out for the summer as well :) Lioness are also doing a cute comp to win a $100 gift voucher for you and a friend here: don't miss out, only 26 hours to go!

Mrp x Henry Holland collaboration + $100 Giveaway

(This post is brought to you by Nuffnang and mrp)

Hi guys! Today I’m introducing to you an exciting collab between mrp and Henry Holland! This exclusive collaboration with Henry Holland is chock-full of fresh prints, vibrant colours, and a bit of cheeky Henry-style humour across the matching sets and sporty separates. I love how the collection takes inspiration from this summer’s fun and bright active wear trend- the hot pink mesh jumper is my personal favourite. The range is currently being modelled by Chloe Norgaard- one of the biggest up-and-coming models at the moment with super funky style (and hair)!

I’ve also been lucky enough to be one of the first to get my hands on some of the hot pieces from the collection as well.

A Lesson Learnt

'Bella' blouse: c/o Junk Clothing (here)
Sunflower shorts: c/o Motel Rocks
Oxfords: c/o Le Bunny Bleu (similar style here)
Classic Bristol Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington (here)

So these photos were taken in quite possibly the worst conditions possible...I got up early to take pics in my usual spot, and I was greeted by the craziest mosquito attack! They were actually humungous and there were multiple ones on my arm/leg at once. I stubbornly kept going with my photos because I wanted to get at least a few decent shots, and when I rushed home I saw that the bites had developed into huge boil-like things on my skin :( It was pretty terrifying seeing myself in the mirror lol. I took some pills for it and thankfully they lessened the swelling because I was having a major allergic reaction. I had to edit all the mozzies out on Photoshop in my pics because just looking at them made me feel itchy all over again lol.

Kind of annoyed at my own ridiculous stubbornness- I woke up at 5am to take photos, did my makeup, travelled all the way to the park with my camera gear, and I just saw the crazy swarm of mosquitoes and just had the obstinate mentality that "I came all the way here to do something, and I'm going to get it done at all costs" lol.

Moving on to the actual reason for why I endured a crazy mozzie attack- the outfit! Spring is coming to a close over in Australia with a scorching hot summer on the way- which means neon florals and bright colours! Junk Clothing gifted me this lovely, flowy off-shoulder blouse perfect for a sunny and relaxed stroll in the garden (never mind that's not actually what went down when I took these pics lol!)

I got these adorable sheer floral overlay oxford flats from Le Bunny Bleu again- as I mentioned in my last post featuring the brand, they have a small curated collection in the store 'Drama' on 16 Goulburn St in Chinatown, Sydney CBD :) and they have a new store called 'Pretty Pumpkin' in Eastwood on 51 Rowe Street. It's a great way to get a feel for their shoes in real life, if you're planning to buy them online on their US site! :)
I'm also wearing this lovely Daniel Wellington watch called 'Classic Bristol', with a beautiful rich brown-red strap and rose gold face :) These watches are the perfect stocking stuffers! They're a timeless accessory (no pun intended) and are so versatile to pair with outfits.
Use this exclusive Holiday promotion code 'holidaymetallicpaws' to get 15% discount on ALL Daniel Wellington products at! :) They offer free worldwide shipping as well!

Class in Classics

Crop top:
Lace midi skirt: c/o AX Paris (here)
Crown pendant necklace: c/o Katie Mullally (here)
Platform shoes: Lipstik

What's more classically classy than a black and white colour scheme, red lipstick and a bit of lace? When I'm pressed for time for choosing a going-out outfit, I always naturally gravitate towards a classic black dress, and then red lips because in my opinion they have as much impact and wow factor as a stunning outfit.

I was also gifted this lovely crown pendant and chain by Katie Mullally, a jewellery designer all the way from the UK. It features 22.5 carat gold plated sterling silver and looks so regal and perfect up close! Check out Katie Mullally's designs for more quirky and vintage charms.

Sorry I had to take my photos indoors for this shoot- the past few weeks have had crazy weather; it's either been too unbearably hot or thunderstorms outside. So I thought I would test out the space besides my bed at my apartment with the natural light coming through from the right. Luckily the Canon 6D has amazing ISO and is a dream to work with indoors. What do you guys think of indoor shoots to showcase outfits?

Youthful Days

Striped crop top:
Satchel bag: Lulus
skirt: Nasty Gal
flats: c/o Le Bunny Bleu (in mint and pink)
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington

photos by myself

This outfit makes me feel ultra young! There's something about a pleated flare skirt, straight hair and a cute pair of flats that takes a decade off my age. Satchel bags are definitely a flashback for me since I used to carry them around in school and uni, but their preppy shape and structure are too stylish to resist even for everyday street wear.

I can't express enough love for this Nasty Gal skirt I've had for about a year now! I think I got it on sale for only $30 and it's made of the softest and comfiest neoprene material, and in the cutest coral pink colour!

Le Bunny Bleu also kindly gifted me these adorable mint and white flat shoes. I've featured this lovely little brand before in the past on my blog, and they have the cutest range of quirky and vintage-inspired designs in really adorable colours and styles. The Aussie website isn't up yet (Instagram page is here), but you can check out the US website for Le Bunny Bleu here for their cute range.

And PS. Sydney-siders are in luck! Le Bunny Bleu actually have a small curated collection in the Sydney CBD, in a store called 'Drama' on 16 Goulburn Street in Chinatown. I'll be featuring another pair of flats I got from there in an upcoming blog post as well. Check out Drama if you'd like to check out Le Bunny Bleu shoes in real life. The store also has a range of other really cute and girly clothes (perfect for creating a complete outfit with the shoes :)) Other retailers will soon be stocking Le Bunny Bleu shoes in Sydney as well!
