Wicked Ways

Scalloped edges hat: ASOS
Top: Dolly Girl Fashion
Aztec printed shorts:
Cross necklace: Low Luv by Erin Wasson
'Cielo' Boots: Nasty Gal this floppy black hat from ASOS has been sitting in my room collecting dust for way too long! I just Googled it and found an old blog post about it, dating back to February 2012! I think I never wore it because the scalloped cut-outs all around the edges seemed too bold and out-there and I didn't know what to pair it with.

However in a strange way, even more cut outs and geometric patterns seemed to complement the hat in this outfit. I wore a new cropped top with a laser cut out scalloped hem from Dolly Girl Fashion, and one of my favourite pairs of shorts with fun aztec style prints!

Have you guys ever played around with laser cuts or a combination of cut-outs? I love how they instantly add detail and intricacies to any outfit!

Lookbookstore Haul and Review

Hey everyone! :) About a week ago it was my birthday, so recently I've been adding a lot of goodies to my cart for a little to-me birthday haul haha. I did some hauls from Forever 21, Lulu's, Go Jane, and Dolly Girl Fashion, of which the first 3 are American websites and I used a mail forwarding service called Hop Shop Go to help ship them to a US address. I'll do a blog post on my birthday haul later, when all the items have shipped over and come into my grubby little hands :)

For now, Lookbookstore have kindly sponsored me a bunch of gorgeous pieces (just in time for my birthday!) which I've styled in the pictures below!

I was so excited when LookBookStore asked me to collaborate with them, because they used to be based on eBay and I had marked them as a 'favourite seller', getting email notifications every time they re-stocked! Everything they sell is so on-trend and at such affordable prices, and now that they've moved off eBay I was definitely keen to collaborate with one of my favourites stores!

'On trend sky blue' blazer: c/o LookBookStore (sold out)
Hearts cut-out skirt: c/o Awwdore (link here)
Lace bustier: Love Culture
Mint jelly watch: c/o Born Pretty Store (link here)

The first item from LookBookStore is this blazer I received a while ago, and posted pictures of in a previous outfit post here ( Unfortunately it's sold out now, but there are definitely still a number of stylish blazers in lovely colours still available on LookBookStore here

This blazer really caught my eye with the lovely sky blue shade, and you know how much I adore pastels! I would say the fit is more of an oversized one, so I prefer wearing it open with the sleeves rolled up so it's stylishly loose without being daggy. It goes so well with complementing pastel colours and is definitely a go-to spring or summer piece.

And thanks to another favourite online store of mine-, for this gorgeous PU heart cut-out skirt! Pleather is definitely not the fabric that comes to mind for such a sweet-looking skirt like this, but somehow it totally works against the tiny little heart cut outs. The skirt is adorable from afar, but up close you can really see the pretty intricate details.

mint jelly watch: c/o Born Pretty Store (link here)
Rose gold ring: ASOS
Rose gold 'Love' bracelet:
Necklace: Brandy Melville

Ok...let's admit it! With wearing watches becoming cool and trendy in the past year or so, how many of us have actually used it to tell the time? And not just part of our arm candy :) I wouldn't imagine using a Rolex for purely aesthetic purposes, but Born Pretty Store have a range of fashionable women's watch designs at really, really low you don't have to feel guilty about never really using a watch for its practical purpose! Haha I chose a soft jelly 'bracelet' watch which came in a range of pretty, pastel colours, and I chose one of my favourite shades- mint!

You can get a 10% discount from Born Pretty Store as well, by using this coupon: ISABELZC10. They ship worldwide too! :)

eyelet off-shoulder top: c/o LookBookStore (link here)
Coral scuba skirt: Nasty Gal
Shoes: Fashion Valet

The next item is this lovely white eyelet off-shoulder top from LookBookStore! Off-shoulder tops and dresses always have such a carefree, bohemian vibe to them that makes them perfect for a spring day. This top looks so cute both tucked in and out! I'd wear this tucked out over a cute summery pair of shorts, or tucked in a skater skirt like I have here.

Blue fluffy knit: c/o LookBookStore (sold out)
'Wander' studded shorts: c/o Batoko (

It's such a bummer this super lovely fluffy knit from LookBookStore is sold out! I highly recommend it for the cooler seasons....the material is so soft and lovely and once again like my blazer above, it's in that super lovely light blue shade. The fit is baggy and oversized, so you can wear it off-shoulder for a sexy yet sweet look. This knit is the perfect cosy sweater to snuggle up in during a rainy day inside!

These shorts from Batoko are also gorgeous with the all-over studded detail, turning a boring pair of denim cut-offs into something glamorous, funky or edgy or however way you want to style them! :)

Black lace dress: c/o LookBookStore (link here)
Black box clutch: Choies

LookBookStore also have a great range of beautiful dresses for all occasions. A black lace one is always really versatile, and I definitely already have way too many sitting in my wardrobe haha. This one however was a bit different to what I already have, as the skirt part is skater-style rather than tight, making it more of a fun and comfortable fit. The only issue with this dress is that it is a bit short for me...I have to tug it down quite often. I stand at around 169-170cm or a little bit under 5'7, so the dress would work better if you are shorter than that :)

Angel wing back knit: c/o LookBookStore (link here)
Aztec shorts:
'Cielo' boots: Nasty Gal
Necklace: Valleygirl

This next item from LookBookStore definitely packs a punch from the back! :) I love how the front is a plain, cosy grey knit you can jazz up with some accessories, but in contrast the back is a statement in itself! My little sister saw this knit first online and loved it, so I'll probably hand this to her :) This knit is not as warm as the other light blue one I featured above, and is made of a thinner material, so it is more of an autumn or fall piece.

Sequin skirt c/o LookBookStore (currently sold out)
Top: Dolly Girl Fashion
Cuff: Colette Accessories
Clear clutch: Choies

So sorry to say this gorgeous little sequin number is sold out as well! Hopefully it will be re-stocked soon, I think it's quite popular :) This skirt is definitely an eye-catching piece, with not just the sparkles, but also the unique geometric patterns on it. The skirt is perfect for a night out with the girls, paired with metallic accessories to match.

Here I wore the skirt with a new top from Dolly Girl Fashion. As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I did a haul from Dolly Girl Fashion as part of my birthday shopping spree! This top is part of that haul and I'll be blogging about it when all the birthday items I ordered have come in :)

So there you have it- all the items from my most recent package kindly sponsored by LookBookStore :) All the items I received were a success and I would definitely wear them, with the black dress being the only exception as I am probably too tall for it. Don't forget to check out LookBookStore for more cute, stylish stuff at great prices. They ship worldwide too for free! :)

Fun Prints for Summer 2014

Hey all! Since we're still in the middle of summer here over in Australia (it'll probably stay hot all throughout March!) there's still plenty of opportunity to pull out all the cutest and fun bright prints for the hot season. I've noticed a lot of my summer clothes nowadays are only getting more colourful and slightly more quirky. There's three occasions I have been wearing prints a lot during summer- going out outfits, the gym, and the beach, of course!

Summer prints on: Going Out Outfits
Criss cross crop top: Love Culture
Pineapple shorts: local boutique
Crochet fringe cardigan: ASOS
Neon yellow bag: Missguided
Sunglasses: Sabo Skirt

I know you guys have already seen these pineapple shorts on my blog but...I can't resist! I wear these shorts out everywhere. Fruit prints have been quite popular nowadays (I've seen apples, strawberries, lemons and pretty much everything at the local food market!) although I'm especially loving pineapple prints! They just have such a fun, quirky shape to them, and also give a tropical vibe.

I matched the pineapple shorts with a complementing yellow bag and a baggy crochet cardigan- crochet is my favourite beach accessory!

Summer prints on: Gym

Baby birds gym bag: c/o Surfdome (link here)
Tropical print sports crop top: Cotton On Body
Tropical print sports shorts: Cotton On Body

The other place I have been going to a lot this summer is the gym! So I'll often be lugging around a big bag full of my exercise gear on almost a daily basis- so why not get a cute one? This one is from and has the sweetest all-over bird print! There are two straps, so you can wear it like a big handbag close to your shoulder, or wear the longer one with the bag close to your hip (which makes it easy to take stuff out :)) The bag is extremely spacious and I can definitely fit all my gym essentials in it with ease- clothes, sneakers, water and healthy snacks :)

This gym bag is from Surfdome, a UK-based online store featuring over 900 lifestyle brands in clothing, accessories and equipment. Some famous brands stocked include Billabong, Superdry, Super Dry and French Connection! They also ship to over 50 countries.

I've also been stocking up on some more interesting and exciting exercise gear as well, including this tropical printed active set from Cotton On Body! Love the ombre colours and palm trees design especially, on this crop top.

Summer prints on: Beach wear
'Flaming Go Go's' swimsuit: c/o Funkita Swimwear (link here)
reflector sunnies: eBay
personalised name necklace: c/o

And of course during summertime, prints can definitely be worn to the beach! I went with a one-piece this time for something different. It's amazing how relieving it is to wear something where you don't have to worry about the food you've been eating for the past few days lol! I slipped on this one piece from Funkita and it immediately flattened and smoothed out those bumps and lumps. This is great for anyone who isn't yet comfortable wearing a two-piece out to the beach or pool. The bright and fresh flamingo print make it quirky and cute, rather than an out-of-date daggy one-piece.

This is from Funkita Swimwear's new collection 'We the People', which also has a bunch of other funky and bright swimwear pieces. This flamingo print also comes in a two piece ( for the top, and for the bikini bottom) :)

Triangl Underwear Review- Lucie in Champagne Coral

'Lucie' bra and brief set in Champagne Coral: c/o Triangl Underwear
Kimono: Nasty Gal

Ahhh! *covers face* Sorry for my awkwardness! But I've finally done up my blog post on the highly coveted new underwear line from Triangl! I have a lot of searches coming through my blog for Triangl Swimwear reviews (my Triangl Swimwear review post with the 'Miami Mint' bikini link is here) so I thought I'd do a review on my new piece from the Underwear line. I guess everyone who's ever been on Instagram will have seen their iconic bikini ranges already- and now they've released a new line of underwear with similar modern and fresh designs and colours, with their signature black binding!

There are 2 designs- 'Isabel' and 'Lucie'. I was heavily swayed to opt for my namesake, but in the end I chose 'Lucie' because I simply could not resist the cute balconette bra design! The 'Isabel' features a soft cup bra in a more triangle design. Both underwear sets come with hipster boy leg briefs. They come in 5-6 colours each. I'm super tempted by anything mint but since I already have a Triangl bikini in that colour, I decided to go with something different and got this gorgeous, bright neon coral!

And note....these are NOT swimwear! I know it looks like it! So don't go splashing around in the pool with these ones haha, especially as the material is a fine micro mesh and semi-sheer. This also means it's quite delicate and you will need care washing and handling them. The bra also has adjustable straps.

Personally I'm really loving the 'Lucie' so far, as it's really soft and comfortable, in a super funky and colourful design that makes me feel great when I'm wearing the set, and reasonably priced as well. The price for the 'Lucie' set is $59 (USD), and for the 'Isabel' is $49. Over in Aus I find that a good bra alone already costs about $50.

In terms of sizing, I went with the chart on the website which was very helpful in having two separate charts for bra and underwear. For underwear bottoms it said for Aus 6-8 I should go for the XS, and for tops 10A/10B/12A/12B go for the XS as well. Both fit perfectly! For both sets they go up to XL which should support Double D's and E's. Personally I think if you are XL then maybe opt for the 'Lucie' over  the 'Isabel', as the Lucie has underwire support and Isabel doesn't.

Are you guys going to get any pieces from Triangl's new underwear line, or have you already? :) I'm already keen to try some more colours! If you have any questions let me know and I'll try to answer them as best as I can!

Valentine's Day Outfits (with video)

Hello everyone! I feel like I haven't posted in a while, but I've had quite a lot of my plate lately :( I can't believe it's already February now! Having suddenly realised that Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I put together some Valentine's Day outfits for a blog post and YouTube video! :)

This post in video form is here :)

Look #1:

dress: c/o Colors of Aurora
Bangle: Colette Accessories
Shoes: Taobao
Clutch: Forever New
Lipstick: Ruby Woo by MAC

The first look of this Valentine's Day Lookbook is a rather glamorous and sexy one! This is the look for going out to a fancy dinner or bar with our loved ones. Or even if you're single, this is an eye-catching look to steal the hearts of guys if you're just going out for drinks with friends!

Red is the colour of love and passion, and will definitely be turning heads everywhere you turn especially in a bodycon dress.
I love the cut-out detail on the front, to make modern and interesting. I paired the dress with a simple black clutch and black pumps top, for a black and red colour combination that is both classic and killer.

Look #2:
Peplum top: Anthropologie
White jeans: AX Paris
Silver metallic shoes: Lovely Shoes
Silver clutch: Dorothy Perkins

Red is actually not really my favourite colour...I think it's just too passionate and intense for me! I do however really, really adore pink and this is a great toned-down alternative to bright red! I recently got this brand new peplum top from Anthropologie (may do a haul post later) and I have been wearing it all the time. The pink colour paired with bright white jeans instantly creates an all-over fresh and romantic look, that your partner will definitely love!

Look #3:
Daisy bustier: Lookbookstore
Skater skirt: Ash Lapin
Leather jacket: Gmarket

If you're the kind of girl who likes to be super feminine and flirty, skater skirts and knee-high socks never fail!  I've always loved this combination because I find it both innocent and sweet, yet also a little sexy.
I made the skirt the item of focus, with the bright red shade and keeping everything else neutral, and with its voluminous shape and rose applique texture. I wore it together with a bustier from LookBookStore to balance out the silhouette, and also a leather jacket in case it gets cold, or if the bustier makes the outfit too skin-revealing.

Look #4:
Blouse: Love Culture
Lace shorts: ebay
Quilted bag: vintage
Heels: Bon Bon

If you're in a long-term relationship, Valentine's Day can become really not such a big's just like any other day of the year! And you and your S/O have plenty to celebrate, no matter what day it is :)

So for a casual date or outing, eg. quiet movie date, you might prefer to wear a more casual outfit. This blouse from Love Culture is flowy and understated, when it's worn untucked. The rich berry shade is also a great pop of colour fitting into the theme of Valentine's Day. I also paired it with a small side bag in a classic quilted design, and nude pumps (they have bows on the back!)

I hope you guys liked my outfit ideas for Valentine's Day! The video I uploaded on YouTube for it is here. Work should be easing off for me next week so I should be able to get my next blog post sooner :) Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

I was featured in Independent Fashion Bloggers' Weekly Round up:

Love, Life & The Latest Thing

This week NYFW hit the runways strutting everything we'll be coveting over the next six months, but it's also a time to think about love as Valentine's Day closes out the week. Will you be celebrating? Some will, others will roll their eyes, but either way, it's certainly fun to think about what we'll be wearing.
