Good morning guys, here is the second post of my weekly 'Happiness' series! You can check out the first post in the series and read a bit about what it means, here.

Pink cat bag: c/o BangGood (link here)
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge fan of cats! Unfortunately I've never kept one, not at my parents' house as my mum despises all forms of pets with a passion, nor at my apartment where I can't keep pets. So when I found this bag from BangGood that was cut into the exact shape of a cat, I knew I had to have it!
And yes, would you believe that it is a real bag and not some silly prop for show- there's a hidden pouch behind the cat which is spacious enough to fit keys, phone, and wallet and other esssentials! :) The bag comes with a long strap so you can perch your little feline friend against your hip, or you can simply hold it like a clutch bag which makes it feel more realistic!
My pink cat bag makes it to my collection of (pretend) cats! Here is my cat pillow I bought from Urban Outfitters last year, which has also been shaped into the design of a cat, haha. I sleep with it every night, as if it were real lol!
Even if I can't get a real cat, I still have loads of appreciation for the genius designers who can create cat replicas that make me almost feel like I have the real thing!
2. An almost-theft.

Now why on earth would I be happy about an almost theft? During the week I had my phone stolen for about one minute. What happened was I had taken my new bag out but I couldn't close it properly because of my gigantic (but totally necessary) water bottle and the material and structure of the bag was so rigid, so the bag opening was quite large. Right before I stepped into the gym after work, I felt a slight movement at my hip where my bag was, and I turned around and saw this woman right behind me. She was standing so close and I could just tell that she did something. I asked her if she took something from my bag and she stammered that it wasn't her and was some other man, and pointed vaguely to the crowd behind. I'm not sure who came up but a man came up and said, 'check her pocket'! Then the woman quickly handed my my phone from her back jean pocket and scurried off.
I felt so lucky that she actually gave it back! I was so grateful that I was on the ball and confronted her straight away. I'm not a religious person but I do believe in guardian angels, and I think that was a gentle little lesson to me to stop leaving my bag open and unzipped! Honestly, no matter how safe you think your city or area is, pickpockets and other criminals exist everywhere. Always close your bags (and especially open backpacks, as you won't realise someone taking something behind you!)
3. YouTube event held by Google.
Last week I was fortunate enough to be invited to a 'Blogger to Vlogger' event at the Google office, on how to make the transition from blogging to YouTube videos. I already have my YouTube channel here, but there were so many aspects to YouTube that I didn't know about, especially the monetisation side of things and also personal experiences that I found really eye-opening and interesting from the guest speaker, Wengie.
I enjoy making fashion videos and showcasing outfits for different occasions and themes, but I think I'm too shy and boring to actually become somewhat of a YouTube 'personality'! But that just means this can be a new challenge for me this year, where I start making more 'talking' videos and break out of my bubble. There will always be people who don't like your face, the way you speak, the opinions you have- but why should the comments of haters or immature young kids stop you from doing anything?
So anyway, I'm quite grateful for the opportunity to come by to this event! Even if I never planned to or envisioned growing my YouTube account to a grand, full-time scale, I may very well consider it in the future :)
(the Sydney Google office has bicycles and scooters to employees to zip around the building in!)
