Plaid and Leather

Plaid dress: c/o Pop Cherry Fashion (link here)
Jacket with leather sleeves: c/o Style Moi (link here)
Satchel bag: ChaceyLove
Boots: lovelyshoes.net

I'm going for a bit of a preppy look in this outfit! I've been really getting into plaid lately, especially in a cute minidress like this one from Pop Cherry Fashion for a flirty and fun look with a 90s throwback. I wore it for a pop of colour inside this super cool camel trench coat with contrast leather sleeves from Style Moi! I'm so glad the crazy winds are easing off and hopefully this is the last photoshoot we have with my hair blowing all over the place! It's so hard to capture a good photo as a result, makes me want to lop all my hair off haha...

I feel like I'm dressed for uni or college with the preppy vibe (satchel bag with laptop included), but thankfully I'm finished with all of that! :) People are always surprised that I've done a law degree but I have no plans to go into a career in law. I don't think what you study (even if it was for 5 years with my law degree!) defines what you make of your life...there are so many things out there to dabble in, rather than blindly following the path that makes the most money or has the greatest job security. To me it's so much more important to lead a meaningful and enjoyable life!

  2. I think there's hardly anyone in my law units that actually want to go into law! I did always think you WERE working in law though, because of your work travel! Haha guess I was wrong.
& I don't know what it is, but you always seem to give looks a kind of vampiric vibe. I really like it though. It's mysterious.

  3. I love your trench coat! :) I was just curious why you wanted to go study law and not do a career in it :o

  4. I love the college-inspired look! And storng wind definitely is annoying when one tries to take pictures... I agree with the carreer - there is no rule saying you have to work in the same field you studied. I'm very happy I switched majors after my undergraduate degree, it has broadened my horizons a lot and I met a wider range of awesome people thanks to stepping out of my GE comfort zone. :)

  9. I know what you mean about what you study not being an indicator w=fro what you do. People always ask me what I'm going to do with my theatre degree. You'd be surprised all the aspects of theatre they cover in that degree besides performance. I also know someone who got a BFA Musical theatre who then went to law school. Just goes to show you never know how life will turn out. I love this really cute preppy look. The color combos are a little unexpected which I always love :)
