Colour of Happiness

Floral printed Pink kimono: c/o AX Paris (link here)
top: c/o Chictopia Shop (link here)
White wedges: Lipstik
Blue bezel bracelet: c/o Little Doux Jewels (link here)

There's no denying that pink is one of my favourite colours! There's a theory that colours produce certain psychological effects and pink apparently evokes happiness, love and calmness. Although I personally think that colours will have individualised effects depending on whether you're fond of the colour or not haha, I do tend to love pink (and all things girly and feminine it seems :)) This pink and white floral kimono from AX Paris is the perfect spring piece with a beautiful fresh and happy colour scheme, and a flowy carefree shape!

I paired the kimono with a new top kindly gifted from Chictopia Shop as well. I'm sure a lot of you guys have posted looks on Chictopia before (an online style community to show off your looks!) but have you checked out their shop before? :) I found this adorable crop top there at only $21 with free shipping- such a steal! I love the intricate perforations and scalloped hem design. Another great spring piece that looks perfect paired with denim cut offs for a breezy casual look :)

Plaid and Leather

Plaid dress: c/o Pop Cherry Fashion (link here)
Jacket with leather sleeves: c/o Style Moi (link here)
Satchel bag: ChaceyLove
Boots: lovelyshoes.net

I'm going for a bit of a preppy look in this outfit! I've been really getting into plaid lately, especially in a cute minidress like this one from Pop Cherry Fashion for a flirty and fun look with a 90s throwback. I wore it for a pop of colour inside this super cool camel trench coat with contrast leather sleeves from Style Moi! I'm so glad the crazy winds are easing off and hopefully this is the last photoshoot we have with my hair blowing all over the place! It's so hard to capture a good photo as a result, makes me want to lop all my hair off haha...

I feel like I'm dressed for uni or college with the preppy vibe (satchel bag with laptop included), but thankfully I'm finished with all of that! :) People are always surprised that I've done a law degree but I have no plans to go into a career in law. I don't think what you study (even if it was for 5 years with my law degree!) defines what you make of your life...there are so many things out there to dabble in, rather than blindly following the path that makes the most money or has the greatest job security. To me it's so much more important to lead a meaningful and enjoyable life!

Crystal Eyes

Style Stalker 'Got Game' pants: c/o BKRM (currently sold out)
Top: Forever New
Blazer: Nasty Gal
Shoes: Lulus
Jewelled necklace: Colette Accessories
Quilted clutch: Forever New
Royal blue arty ring: YSL
It's been a while since I've worn a pair of bold printed pants! I almost forgot what a powerful statement they can make, especially when the print is so interesting and dynamic as these ones by Style Stalker. They feature a funky blue and white geometric crystal print that is only more intriguing the more you look at it. It was also a pleasant surprise to feel how comfortable they were to wear as well, with the material being really soft and slightly stretchy.

This is a look you can take to work as well! Dress from head to toe in varying shades of blue and white for a classy colour palette that's striking yet office-appropriate. I wear this periwinkle silk-like tee from Forever New to absolute death at work.

These pants are currently sold out on BKRM now, but they still stock other amazing pieces by Style Stalker as well here (https://www.bkrm.com/en/shop/ladies/urban/?designer%5B%5D=STYLESTALKER), not to mention a whole heap of other labels such as Staple the Label, Lazy Oaf, Cameo and more :) Don't forget you can still receive 5% off anything from BKRM including sale items! Just use the Promo code METALLICPAWS5. No minimum purchase is necessary and the code is valid until 27th July 12am (excluding brands Made in Paradise and Mischa and code can only be used once per customer.)

Boyfriend blazers and bustiers

Wild flower playsuit in pink: c/o Pop Cherry Fashion (link here)
Boyfriend blazer: Bardot
Adele lace up heel: c/o Shop Calico (link here)
Clutch: New Look

I don't want to jump the gun or jinx myself...but I think it's starting to get a teeny little warmer over here in Sydney! It was still pretty cold for bare legs but kind of bearable actually! I can't wait to wear this super cute bustier playsuit from Pop Cherry Fashion out, without the need for the blazer. I don't usually do strapless (would always prefer to cover my shoulders and arms) but the lightly padded and black trimmed bustier design is flattering enough to sway my opinion :) You can get the playsuit from Pop Cherry Fashion here and it also comes in yellow here!

I took out a baggy boyfriend-style blazer for balance over such a mini playsuit like this one. This is probably the most comfy blazer I own (feels like silk!) and I've worn it so many times over tight going-out dresses for something to tone down the look.

These lace-up heels are also from Shop Calico, an online boutique that stocks heaps of popular brands such as Cheap Monday, Dolce Vita, Mink Pink and Ladakh! Shop Calico ship worldwide with free US shipping for orders $75 and above :) The shoes are so comfy and instantly add an extra edge to any outfit.

Floral Inclinations

floral romper: c/o YRB Fashion (link here)
Knit jumper: c/o Wish
Mint green satchel bag: Lulus
Elephant necklace: Forever 21

If you're onto a good thing, I say stick to it! Florals are always my favourite staple print and I don't think I could ever amass enough florals for my wardrobe. This may look like a skirt, but it's actually a romper! I just popped a cable knit over the top and now it looks like a brand new skirt :) Don't you just love clothing pieces that can be worn in different ways? The romper by itself is super cute as well and I'll probably take this out again to show off the adorable button detail down the front! It's currently on sale at only 10 pounds on YRB Fashion here.

I've also been wearing this white cable knit from Wish so often lately...the contrast dotted mesh panel down the middle makes it so unique and I've found it to be the perfect layering piece underneath coats and jackets that aren't quite thick enough for these wintry days. I was also gifted this jumper from Wish, from a goodies bag they handed out at a bloggers event a few months back! I'm usually not into goodie bags (or very cynical that I'd find something good in there) but this knit is so wearable and versatile. I also got a portable iPhone charger which I used when I travelled interstate recently- I have to say I was definitely very pleased with that goodie bag haha, thanks Wish! :)

Black Scales

Black scales leggings: c/o BKRM (link here)
(Faux fur) Shaggy vest: c/o Wish
Long sleeve top: Sabo Skirt
Blue clutch: c/o Oasap

How funky are these fish scale leggings? Black leggings are always such a staple item for layering, and I was so excited to find a pair that had such interesting detail but was still practical and versatile. The scale pattern definitely adds a subtle extra something when pairing it up with items you'd normally wear with basic black leggings- which is pretty much everything! I would wear these leggings with a baggy tee for a sporty urban look, blazers, baggy knits, or whatever you like. I've been loving textured (faux) furry vests for winter so I wore it together with these leggings.

The scale leggings are from BKRM, an online boutique that sells both urban and luxury items! They do free shipping worldwide. PS. you can also receive 5% off anything from BKRM, including sale items! Just use the Promo code METALLICPAWS5. No minimum purchase is necessary and it's valid until 27th July 12am (excluding brands Made in Paradise and Mischa and code can only be used once per customer.)

Flamingoes and Flowers

Flamingo sundress: c/o Larmoni (link here)
Bullet necklace: Brandy Melville
Coral cardigan: Kookai
Pink belt: ASOS
Floral crown: Sportsgirl
Wedge shoes: Lipstik

Who doesn't love a cute sundress! I'm a sucker for adorable prints and when I found this pink flamingo-printed one on Larmoni I couldn't resist. I have a number of items with funky animal prints such as cats and horses, but there is just something so unique and quirky about flamingoes that instantly draws my attention. The print is very subtle but totally adorable just the same!

A number of people have told me that I rarely wear green...and I guess it's true! Mint green is my favourite colour but that veers more towards the blue side. This is probably one the first times I've worn such a vibrant, tangy apple green shade but I'm glad I did, as I've just discovered how cute the colour combo green and coral are! Wearing something with a vintage or retro feel is also pretty new for me, but I love to experiment with different styles.

You can check out Larmoni and their Facebook page for heaps more cute and quirky stuff like this dress! I love the retro and girly vibe of the printed sundress collection here, including parrots, boats, cherries, and even whales haha. They do free worldwide shipping over $75 :)

Sky Colours

Madison Square Annabelle Chambray anorak jacket: c/o St. Frock (link here)
'Meow' beanie: Boohoo
Galaxy leggings: Black Milk
Boots: Lovelyshoes.net
Triangle necklace: Forever 21

Who doesn't love a staple anorak during a cold day? I have a khaki coloured one which I always pull out during the cooler days in autumn and winter, and I'm so happy to add a baby blue one to the mix!
It also has a hoodie which you can pop up as an impromptu umbrella, which I suppose is probably the main reason I love these types of jackets haha. They have handy pockets as well, and make for the ultimate practical jacket for cool weather!

I know galaxy leggings aren't exactly in trend anymore...I remember when Black Milk was the hottest new player on the market and no one else did these amazing galaxy printed leggings like they did. It was one of the most unique things I've ever seen and the prints looked so spectacular and vibrant! Even if it's not trendy anymore I'm probably never going to part with my galaxy leggings because of how much I loved them when they first came onto the scene. Plus they seemed like a good pairing with this pastel blue anorak! :)
