Spring is literally two days away for Sydney! You can feel it warming up already especially during the afternoon. Missguided is one of my go-to British online boutiques and I was so excited to see so many new arrivals perfect for my upcoming spring wardrobe! I had to hop on the lace-up bandwagon, and got this white lace-up bodysuit and matching white lace-up laser cutout heels. I couldn't go past this camel A-line zip skirt's made of a scuba-like material and is realllly comfy and smooth.

I think the beauty of bodysuits is that they stay in place forever...I have so many tops that crinkle like crazy and you always have to readjust when tucking into bottoms, but bodysuits have a clip part at the bottom that gives it that perfect, streamlined look. I'm going to be wearing this one from Missguided a lot for summer and spring! I love the fluted breezy sleeves and the back is quite low...making it a super airy and comfy piece.

My whole outfit was picked from the New Arrivals section at Missguided, and they've added so many more amazing goodies since the last time I checked! You can check out all the new stuff here.

Flash tattoo set: c/o Risque Tattoos

I also got the chance to try out flash tatts for the first time ever! Like really for the first time...I didn't even have one when I was younger when kids could pretend they had real tattoos (although I did have the stick-on earrings lol). I have an arrow one on the back of my left hand, and two wrapped around my wrists.  They look like delicate bracelets which makes them the perfect way to accessorise your outfits without even having to carry around any metal! I'm so going to save the rest of my tattoo sheets to wear on my Japan trip. It's such a cute, fuss-free way to accessorise that lasts all day. Check out Risque Tattoos for more 3-piece sets with even more amazing designs.

Winter is truly coming to an end over in Sydney and before I miss the ability to layer up, here's probably the last wintery outfit I'll post for a while. I've found that rust and amber hues are BIG in fashion this year, probably because of the major 70s comeback. I think it's a really great way to inject a bit of vibrant colour into winter wear, and it goes perfectly well with neutrals!

My makeup was done courtesy of Evoke Hair & Makeup (on Market St in Sydney CBD) and they gave me quite a defined contoured look with bronzer underneath and alongside the cheekbones, which complemented the earthy tones in my coat and bag. Since then I've been trying to achieve a similar level of definition but I never quite have the makeup skills lol!

We then had brunch at a cafe in Vaucluse. Everytime I have brunch I tell myself I won't order any bacon this time but it always seems to be a crying shame to sit down somewhere with a breakfast menu and not order any bacon! It's such a relief on those shoot days where we shoot before eating because I know my stomach in all the photos are going to be pre-bacon lol.

Earth Tones with Metalicus

Ive always been a big fan of supporting local Australian brands, and today's look features the iconic Metalicus! Metalicus pride themselves on high quality fabrication and wearable, versatile pieces that are great for layering. I chose two pieces to feature, the 'Hazel' vest and 'Pine wrap' skirt which I can transition from work to the weekend as well as between seasons! When I first saw this jacquard pine leaf printed skirt I thought it would be perfect for my work wardrobe with the midi length. I was however able to take this to brunch on the weekend instead and make it a bit more casual, with a crop top and ankle boots.
I'm so glad I had such a great weekend! I'm really relieved I'll be finally having a relaxing one coming up. I was able to squeeze in a furniture shopping day with my mum, assemble some IKEA furniture myself (so I'm basically a handyman now) haha, catch up with friends and woke up at 4am to fit in a sunrise photoshoot in a park and even at the beach. I can't wait to stay very attached to my bed this weekend :)

Crop tops, fringe, capes and boots...and you have the perfect recipe for a festival look! :) This amazing red and white print on the 'Red China' crop top and shorts set is so one-of-a-kind, boho and nothing less of what I would expect from Rise of Dawn I featured this amazing black blazer cape from Rise of Dawn previously in my blog post here

I can't believe September is just around the corner, the month of which I'll be going away to Japan! I have been so stressed out and busy lately I haven't even had time to cook a dinner every night let alone Google things to do and organise an itinerary for my trip...If anyone has any tips or travel ideas for going to Japan please let me know!! :)

The Spirited Dress

'Spirited' dress: c/o Paint it Red (from 'The Passage' collection, Arch Fashion)
Leather jacket: Forever New
Lace up heels: Freelance Shoes
Claw bangle: c/o Mejuri (here)

Yet another girly brunch meet in the inner city calls for more photos in really cute streets! I've grown reallly, really fond of little terrace homes and their colourful walls here, and all the quirky little unique touches each house has. I spent a whole night in bed just browsing potential properties and feeling demotivated seeing how the tiniest 2 bedroom place will go for over a million. I'm so glad I got into the property scene early on (about 3 years ago) because the housing market in Sydney is currently monstrous.

I received the 'Spirited dress' from Paint it Red recently and I've been waiting for a warm day to wear it out! The day we took these photos was so unusually warm for a winter and I felt like I should've gone with a lightweight kimono rather than a leather jacket. I fell in love with the quirky patchwork-style design of the dress and I felt like it somehow really suited my personality :) The dress is from an older Paint it Red collection but is still available here from Arch Fashion.

Mejuri also sent me this stunning claw bangle, which is actually sterling silver dipped in 14k gold! Since it's a precious metal piece, it doesn't tarnish or fade or any of that unfortunate stuff that happens after a while with other cheaper jewellery. This claw bangle is one of my faves from Mejuri because the make is so elegant and high-end but the sharp claws add just a bit of edge :)

I so need to have more time to catch up on everyone's blogs! I've been running on so little sleep and have been so busy. Right now it's almost midnight and I haven't had dinner yet but I'll have to skip it as it's so late haha. This week I'm taking some days off work so I should be able to relax more and have more time to get stuff done.

Keeping Warm in Khaki

'Lioness new york minute coat' in khaki: c/o St. Frock (here)
Lace cut out top: c/o Hot Pink Avenue (here)
Ripped jeans: Boohoo
Boots: Nine West
These (cold) days I've been really embracing long line coats! My very first one was from Boohoo which I wore in this blog post here. This one by Lioness from St Frock falls down to the mid-calves and keeps me suuuper warm...the material is quite thick and prepares you for even the coldest winters, especially if you use the belt it comes with and wear the coat closed. The coat also comes in other really versatile colours like grey, camel and black.
Next month will be the month of travel for me. I have a trip interstate for work and then after that I'm hopefully going to Japan. I'm so excited as I've never been able to travel so much this year (3 trips in a year is a lot for me!) and I've been looking up part-time or casual jobs to help me save for more travel. I have no idea how I'm going to cram everything in my busy life, but when the end goal is to see more of the world I'm excited to do my best to work super hard! :)

Speckled Blue

Ripped jeans: Gmarket
Cut out heels: Korean boutique
'Crystal drop' Necklace:  c/o Arva (here)

Turtlenecks and ripped jeans are slowly and surely becoming my thing haha. It's a combo that keeps me warm all the time and when you own literally about 15 pairs of ripped jeans it's hard to avoid them. This turtleneck from Stelly caught my eye immediately because it reminded me of a night sky- midnight blue with white flecks! :) Plus it was the first thing in my wardrobe that ever matched perfectly well with my 'Arty' ring from YSL!

I met Bee from Instagram the other day for brunch in this outfit! It's so hard to meet new girlfriends these days and I find that Instagram is an amazing way to connect with people (who you know have passions and interests in common with you!) There's so many incredible people in the world and I have a lot to thank technology for, for allowing me to break down barriers and meet them.

'Arty' ring: YSL
'Roman' bangle: c/o Curated Label (here)
'Double gold ring (star)': c/o Day and Night shop (here)

We found that we had matching bangles too! Mine is from Curated Label and features beautiful Roman numerals all around the cuff. I've been wearing it a lot everywhere because it's so lightweight, easy to put on and gives a really sophisticated touch to any outfit. Curated Label is Sydney-based and offer free shipping Australia-wide.

I also received this adorable star ring from Day and Night! It's adjustable so it will fit (hopefully!) most fingers. It's only $7 too for this little gem! Day and Night is also Australia-based, don't forget to check out all their other pretty jewellery :)
