The Red Wrap Dress

'Flawless' drape dress in red: c/o St Frock (here, also in hot pink here)
Gold metal belt: c/o Lookbookstore
Platform shoes: Lipstik
Contrast patent clutch bag: Zu

One of the best things about wrap dresses, is that the cinched fabric is ultra flattering and hides bumps and lumps! They are the perfect thing to throw on when you're having a bloat day or going out somewhere where you know you're going to be heavily feasting...without having to resort to a maternity dress or sack haha. The 'Flawless' dress from St Frock also comes in hot pink... I couldn't decide between the two colours! Both are such cute vibrant shades and look fantastic with a matching lippie.

I've been so stressed out at work and been resorting to a lot of comfort eating and retail therapy lately haha. I'm actually on a juice cleanse right now just so I can flush out all the toxins and get all the right nutrients in my system, which I'll blog about and write a review on. I'm pretty wary of long cleanse programs and extended fat diets, but this is a one-day cleanse and is all I need to do the  job. Maybe I need to focus on the retail therapy rather than the eating to maintain a healthy lifestyle...it's a shame that Jan and Feb are 'dead' months for shopping and there's not enough sales on haha!

Chained to You

'Lonely hearts crop' in Orient chain print: c/o Lioness (here)
Asymmetrical black skirt: c/o Shuku New York
Box clutch: Forever New
Shoes:  c/o River Island

Photography: myself

Yet another photoshoot set where I'm sweating profusely haha but trying really hard to not look like I'm drowning in my own sweat. It's just been so hot in Sydney lately and I need to try harder to get out shooting around 6-7am before the sun gets too high! That time tends to have softer lighting so it works much better.

Naturally this summer I'm all about crop tops and Lioness have stocked one of the more classy and elegant crop tops I've seen around. The blue and white chain print have such a modern and clean vibe with the Greek-inspired design. It looks especially cute with a high-waisted pencil skirt, or even better with the matching print skirt here

I've been really loving wrap skirts and wrap dresses lately. I wore this asymmetric black skirt during New Year's and it was just sooo comfortable...and once you get a taste of how comfortable something is you can never get enough of it! I have an upcoming blog post featuring a red wrap dress as well. Let's just hope in winter I don't lounge around in ugg boots too often otherwise they'll start making a regular appearance on my blog too...

Be My Sweetheart

'Sweetheart playsuit' in red: c/o Junk Clothing (available here)
Cardigan: Gmarket
Scalloped bag: ASOS
Shoes: Lipstik

Continuing with the bright red pieces from my previous blog post! Red is actually not really a favourite colour of mine, but I have been really tired lately, so maybe this is a subconscious way of my body looking for energy and vitality lol? It would explain why I'm very drawn to orange, coral and hot pink recently as well. This is another great wardrobe piece by Junk Clothing- a lightweight playsuit in a fun vibrant floral print, how could you resist?

If you follow me on Instagram you'll have seen a Behind the scenes shot of a shoot I did on Monday, with Fame and Partners! Feeling quite blessed to have worked with an amazing team, including legendary Sylve Colless as the photographer. It was pretty fun modelling with an actual team and set location, rather than with a friend or my trusty tripod and remote lol. I really want to step away from being in front of the camera sometimes though and be the person behind the lens...photography has so much learning to offer and is so fun!

Ruby Tuesday

Striped crop top: Mink Pink
'Ruby Tuesday' short in red: c/o Junk Clothing (available here)
Aztec print wedges: Tobi.com
Studded bag: Sportsgirl
How hot is it in Sydney lately?! I'm so grateful that my office has air con in it because I am definitely not a heat lover! It's been getting close to 40 degrees lately (which is 104°F) I wish I could be where snow is haha.

And I'm not really sure what I was going for with this outfit! I received these super cute red shorts with pom pom trim from Junk Clothing, and just decided to create a fun look with a risque off-shoulder crop top. I think maybe I've always had an affinity for a stripes and red combo :)

From the Bayside

Bayside long cardi: c/o Madison Square (available at St.Frock here)
Top: Dolly girl fashion
Aztec print shorts: c/o Lookbookstore (here)
Faux leather backpack: YesStyle.com
Boots: Boohoo

photography: myself

One of the hallmark signs of a boho chic-inspired outfit is a mixture of textures and prints put together in a carefree yet deliberate way! This long cardi by Madison Square with the crochet texture is a great, flowy piece to add on top of an already textured outfit without having to worry about clashing. There's something about the crochet detail mixed with the crop top's laser-cut hem and tribal-inspired shorts print, that makes me think the look will end up looking OTT, but it's not :)

These aztec printed shorts are at a biggest bargain right now from Lookbookstore! You can snap them up for only $12 now. I can never get enough of funky printed shorts and these ones are lightweight, comfy, and so good for summer.

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable break! this post was meant to be posted a few weeks ago, but I have been so tired every night and feel like I've been running on empty. Isn't it a dangerous and disappointing situation when you realise coffee doesn't even work anymore on some days haha?

Marble Swirl Cake

Marble swirl cake Dress: c/o Stelly (here)
Clutch: New Look
Headpiece: Lovisa
Heels: Go Jane

So it's already the brand new year over in Sydney! What's 2015 going to be like for you guys? For me 2015 is going to bring a lot of new, bigger challenges than I have ever experienced before. This year is when I dive fully into my entrepreneurial ventures and give up the security and comfort of a regular flow of income and a stable work environment. This year I will also continue singledom which I have always struggled with as I'm prone to feeling lonely all the time. I really don't feel ready for 2015, but then I don't think we are ever 100% ready for any challenges that come our way especially as they're mostly unforeseen. I think the only thing we can do is face our obstacles head-on and let it shape and change us into better, stronger people along the way right? :)

On to the outfit...Stelly Clothing have gifted me this beautifully swirly pastel piece that is absolutely my style to a T with the girly colours and feminine scalloped hem. I decided to try something new with this gold headpiece but it's so hard to pull off because I don't naturally have a middle hair part and my hair is naturally flat as well...talk about first world problems haha. Check them out over here http://stelly.com.au/ they are an Aussie-based online boutique and ship worldwide :)
