Rose Coloured Glasses

'split side waffle cardi': c/o Glassons
'mirrored cat eye sunglasses': c/o Glassons
jeans: Boohoo
bag: Bardot
sneakers: Adidas

I always love the soft glow of the sun in photos as it's starting to set- it makes the subject look like it's bathed in warm light (although I was freezing in the wind!) This outfit is more something I'm aiming to wear once spring arrives, with light soft pastel shades and loose layers.

Glassons have definitely got the spring transition pieces covered, with this pink lightweight cosy knit and matching pink cat eye shades. Can it just be warm and sunny already? I had the day off work on this day and my boyfriend and I just had a relaxing day out, which was a great way to finish a long weekend (for me at least) :)

Long Walks

cropped bomber jacket: local boutique
ripped jeans: Gmarket
watch: c/o Christian Paul
'Makrana marble' laptop sleeve: c/o Snupped

This particular kind of outfit has become a no-brainer for me lately- not necessarily because sporty streetwear is trendy at the moment, but for a far more nerdy reason. Pokemon Go is the cultural phenomenon that's taken over the world by storm, including myself, and as I get sucked into longer and longer walks instigated by the sole purpose of finding Pokemons, I deliberately dress myself in the most comfortable outfit possible. So this calls for comfy legging-like jeans, sneakers, a warm jacket and most importantly, my trusty power bank which kind of makes me feel like I've been reborn everytime I use it.

In this post I'm also featuring my new marble printed laptop sleeve from Snupped, which is just the right size for my 15 inch Macbook. They come in other standard laptop sizes of course, and you can even customise your sizing for an extra $5. Plus you can choose this print for a laptop pouch, a tablet sleeve, phone case, tote bag, plus there are so many other cool and unique designs you can opt for with all those customisable options available. Have a look at the range here.

I also found this cropped bomber jacket in a little boutique recently, when I was wandering the streets on a break between giving training sessions interstate for work. It's in a lovely pastel blue shade, perfect cropped length, and surprisingly warm because of the down inside, and at $80 it was cheaper than a lot of other bombers around. I'm so glad I went for a walk around this new city and got the jacket, as I tried to find another similar one online but didn't find much. I conclude that just like with Pokemon Go, a long, unplanned and unchartered walk can do a lot of good.

Perfectly Preppy

'Fernanda' coat: c/o Review
'Megan' jumper: c/o Review
'Flora garden' skirt: c/o Review

photography: my boyfriend

Review have delivered the goods again for timeless, elegant pieces I can take from winter to spring! It's never too early to wear a little floral, and you can opt for dark, rich hues such as vibrant purples and navy blues over light pastels to make it work for winter.

What I love about Review is that the quality never disappoints- the skirt has gorgeous defined pleats and the nice thick material means that the A-line shape keeps its structure. The coat of course is a beautiful camel shade in a soft brushed wool fabric that feels luxurious to touch.

I feel a little preppy in this outfit as well- isn't that always the case when you put on a cable knit jumper? This one is a great piece for layering, as it's not too long, tight-fitted and flattering, and most importantly warm! :)

Chain Reaction

Vintage Ladies Deluxe Bike: c/o Reid Cycles
photography: my boyfriend

I had the pleasure of receiving this absolute stunner of a bike the other day from Reid Cycles! How cute is the vintage charm of this bike- I fell in love with everything from the sleek cream-coloured tyres, to the tan handlebars and saddle, and of course the front basket! Back in the good old days of the 50s and 60s, bikes had a much more simple, minimalistic aesthetic whilst keeping all the essential functional components.

The bike was also really comfortable to sit on and ride as well. The bike feels light, and smooth and easy to navigate. If you're sick of taking your car through narrow laneways, bumper to bumper traffic not to mention finding parking, this gorgeous bike is a much needed alternative to save you stress (as well as money!) You can take it to the beach, the flower markets, brunch, quick stop at the groceries....the possibilities are endless!

Reid also offer free delivery for orders over $50 to most areas. They have several locations all over Australia, in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane. You can even come instore to test ride or receive servicing.

The Vintage Deluxe comes in a variety of colours (I've chosen black, but there's also baby blue, coffee, mint green and powder blue) This is not the only vintage jewel available from Reid Cycles. See their full range of vintage bikes here.

Now onto some more photos!

'Free flow' Blouse: c/o Odd Molly
Shorts: c/o Kooding

'Spiritess' mandala Necklace: c/o The Fifth Element Life

Now onto some of the finer specs of the bike (the reasons why this bike functions so well!)
The bike features a Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub which means you can switch gears easily and smoothly. For example, when you're going up a hill, or rolling up to traffic lights.

A beautiful tan coloured saddle to prop your butt on, it's so comfortable as well!

How gorgeous as these thin cream-coloured tyres? The bike has colour-matched mudguards, chainguard and rear parcel rack (I chose the black version) which helps achieve a really sleek, aesthetically-pleasing look. The lightweight aluminium frame is a classic feature of a retro-style bike, plus it means it's so easy to move the bike around because it's not very heavy at all.

The front basket is an additional feature you can add if you wish. It's a great spot to put in a little handbag as you're riding to the markets!

What do you think of vintage style bikes? :)
