Relaxed Style

'Mandy' dress: c/o Tobi
'Celene' tan suede shoes: c/o DSW
watch: c/o Daniel Wellington
straw hat: Sportsgirl

Looks like the off-the-shoulder phenomenon is still here to stay...when it's as cute as this pastel blue number it's hard to resist! Subtle frilly detail at the arms and a tiny pom-pom hem add a feminine charm I always appreciate. I remember the first time I started shopping from Tobi back in 2013 and it's nice to know that four years on, they still deliver the goods!

It has been a really long time since my last blog post, and I'm very sorry that I haven't been able to keep up posting and engaging with the community here as actively as I would have liked to. It has been increasingly hard to juggle all the things I want to learn about, improve upon, and accomplish in my life. I've been dabbling in various aspects of design, graphics, as well as setting up a stall at the markets regularly. On top of full-time work, study and gym, there has been little time and energy for even just some sleep! As a result I've had to cut down on the amount of collaborations I say 'yes' to for my blog, and as I'm downsizing my wardrobe and trying to be more conscious and careful with the clothes I buy, this also means less content for the blog. Social media is also becoming increasingly competitive and stressful, when all I want is to create good content, engage with others who create good content, and be part of a supportive network of creatives. I hope that my readers and the whole community here have all been well! :)

Chinese New Year in Review

'Carmenda' dress: c/o Review
Shoes: Boohoo

Just when you thought the party season had grinded to a halt, the streets start filling up with lion dances, fragrant food stalls and a canopy of red lanterns adorn the sky. It seems like the celebration of Chinese New Year (or Lunar New Year) only gets more and more vibrant and elaborate over the years! I was lucky enough to celebrate it with loved ones around me this year, and we feasted on lots of tasty food (not that I really need an excuse to!)

Review kindly sent over the perfect dress for the occasion as well, in a beautiful red lace design. The tiered layers from the waist down are so flattering and gives the dress a flirty, cute touch. I could not for the life of me, get my curls to work in this humid weather- but I think the loose waves ended up offering a softer, more subdued look to this outfit.

I've just returned from a much-needed two month break from blogging, which you may have noticed! Apologies for the long absence... I've had to focus on a new job, decluttering my life from unnecessary distractions and complications, on study, and just overall all-round happiness :) I look forward to catching up on everyone's blogs.
